Erin Struff handled Macy for "Winner's Bitch" and I handled Macy to "Best Of Winners".
Thank you to Kimerlie and Erin for showing Macy so beautifully...we couldn't have done it without you!Macy finishes her American Championship in just NINE days of showing!
This also made her dam "Sabrina" a new American DOM!!Her points were earned at:
American Boxer Club National Specialty "Winner's Bitch"
HUGE 5 pt major! (223 bitches entered)
Judge Pat Healy's comments:
"My Open Fawn class was the best and toughest class of the day. There was so much depth in this class! I struggled with first and second place, but my deciding factor was more bone and a little shorter back in my first place bitch. (Macy) For winners bitch "I asked them to come into the center of the ring and free bait. I could not take my eyes off the open fawn bitch and she never stopped showing, thus she was my winners bitch. She had a beautiful head, neck, topline and could move. She was outstanding!"
American Boxer Club National Specialty "Best Of Winners"
(419 bitches/dogs entered)
Breeder/owner/handled
Judge Elizabeth Gunther's comments:
"A beautiful bitch. I see she is the litter sister of my Open Brindle male winner. Stylish, elegant, she has a lovely head and expression. Excellent at the front of the muzzle, she has a very good chin. She has the correct strength and depth of body and outline. She is a good mover with a great temperament and she clearly enjoys showing."

Canadian Wins in 2009: Due to her stateside shows, Macy got a late start at her specials career in Canada in 2009, but has been very consistent in the breed ring, when she has competed. Macy has won 30 BOB and 22 group placements, including five Group 1st's! She ended up earning #4 Boxer in Canada and #2 Bitch. Macy was the TOP "Breeder Owner-handled" Boxer for 2009! We are very proud of our girl and every win means so much, considering the life she had, before I got her back safely in our home. April 3-5/09 At the age of 18 months, Macy does a "hat trick" and wins three Group first's under Kathy Stewart and two breeder judges Shirley Bell and Jack Ireland (Pictured below).
During this same weekend, Macy also won "Reserve Best In Show" under Everitt Mincey and an "Award Of Merit" at the "Alberta Boxer Club Specialty" under Shirley Bell (pictured below).
To top the weekend off, Macy also passed her "echo" with flying colors, so it was quite a weekend for this young bitch!

Gaiting Winter fun!
Macy as a class bitch:
Jan 31/09: Macy finishes her Canadian Championship in style winning BOB, from the classes and made the cut in the group. She was awarded these wins under judge James Noe from Knoxville, TN. Macy just turned 15 months old and this was only her 5th day in the ring, so we are very proud of how quickly she finished.
Macy is the fourth puppy in this litter to achieve her Canadian Championship and she is her dam's 7th Canadian Champion.
Jan 30/09 Macy wins WB under Grant Townsend.
Nov 28/08 Macy entered the show ring for the FIRST time and we won WB and BOS (over some lovely specials) for 5 points under Thomas Touzel! She loved the show atmosphere, loves meeting new dogs and has realized that those pockets at the shows have really good stuff in them!

3 months old Macy & Secret snuggling "Macy" is back home with us now and we couldn't be more thrilled with her! She came back to us very thin, ears floppy and had bite marks on her face. She had been through alot, but she is happy and safe in our home now and is thriving!
Sincere thanks to Dotti Giovanetti for helping me with the arrangements to get Macy home safely. I will be forever grateful for your concern and compassion. Also to Sarah Neely for allowing Macy and I to stay with her, before our trip home to canada. You both are wonderful friends!
I know that ball is under all this snow somewhere! At last.....
